Mirrors of the Universe
×
Summary
Gravitational waves sent out from a pair of colliding black holes were converted to sound waves at first. A few decades later, they heard another sound. This sound was made by a massive object, the size of Jupiter, accelerating well close to the speed of light. This was first observed, with the exact trajectory of the enormous object was discovered by an accidental error in a calculation.
